Oh....the madness of the February Birthdays!

Yep! We have a TON of birthdays in February....it's actually kinda crazy...lol! Here are the following birthdays that we have this month: 8, 11, 12, 14, 18 & 24. Sami's is the 14th, Lauren's is the 18th and Nathan's is the 24th. The other three include my mother-in-law Marcia, my neice, Layla and my nephew, Jason aka Bubba.

So, every year at this time I tend to stress out a little bit. Where are we going to do the party? What theme? Who are they going to invite and how many? What to serve as far as food goes? Since their birthdays are so close together we do them all at the same time instead of individual ones...makes it much easier, until this year!

All three of them could not agree on a theme! They went back and forth for days. I wanted to make the invitations myself with all my Stampin' Up stuff and Creative Memories stuff. But, since they couldn't agree, I ran out of time. Nathan wanted a cowboy party and the girls wanted a dance hip-hop party and an 80's party. Finally they ran out of time....so no inviations were sent out or anything. It ended up turning out pretty good! Here are a few pics. :)

Christmas 2008

With the help of my friend Beka, we make some really awesome teacher gifts for the kids to take to them before Christmas Break. Here are a couple of pics!!

Then, we had Christmas parties.......

Christmas was great at my parents house in Fort Worth!!! We were able to see my family and the cousins had a blast playing. Also, instead of the traditional Christmas dinner, we had mexican food and it was awesome!!

It's been a while since I blogged......

Six months to be exact! Things were crazy in November and December!! I will update everyone with new pics and what has been going on!!!

See you then!

Getting back into the swing of things.....

Yep....that's what I am doing....exactly why I haven't posted lately! Things were hetic with getting the kids ready for school and stuff. And now they will be starting their third week....time flies!

As for myself, I have went back to the gym religiously and have been watching my weight and what I eat. I am excited to reach the goal that I have for myself! At times it is very rough but I can manage and it does get easier and tends to become part of my daily routine. In fact, it's hard not to go to the gym. If I don't I feel guilty, which is good...lol!

Today, I am getting ready to make some hair bows for my girls. I want them to match their outfits that I bought them for school, so I have quite a few to make. My house is clean, the yard is mowed, everything is done! YAY!!!! So, I can relax the rest of the day! :)

Have a wonderful day! It's beautiful outside!

Nine Kids

Well, my brother in law called me last night and asked me to watch his kids so him and his girlfriend could go to the Kenny Chesney concert. Ok, fine.....not that I really wanted to watch three additional kids but hey, he WILL return the favor! So anyway, another friend of mine called this morning and her and her husband have a birthday party to go to and her mother backed out of watching two of their kids. So, I offered. I mean.....c'mon...what's two more, right?? Am I crazy or what??? I have seven kids here now and the other two later. Their ages are: 11, 11, 9, 8, 8, 8, 7, 5 and 16 months! Any one wanna drop their kiddos off????

Feel free to check in on me! :)

House full of sickos!

Yep...that's right! Nathan came down with a high fever Sunday morning which also included being dizzy, nauseated, a sore throat, stomachache, headache and an earache. Yay for me! He slept most of the day though and first thing Monday morning I made him an appointment with the doctor. So, we heaad to the doctor yesterday and low and behold we get there and guess who's is not feeling well?? Sami! She complains of being dizzy and nauseated....ugh! Here it goes....it's going to be passed around to everyone in the family. The doctor writes three prescriptions for Nathan which Sami can take also. We go home, I completely lysol the whole house!

Today, they had to miss their swimming lessons which they were bummed about but I am not letting them go anywhere until this is over. Plus now, Lauren is coming down with a cough, conjestion and runny nose.

On another note, Lee got a postion at work that he wanted and a pay raise to go with it! So we are excited about that. The only thing that stinks is that he will work seven days a week now and that doesn't leave much time to spend with the family. But we will live and we all have to make sacrifices sometimes and this is definitely a good one!

Bye now.... :)

New to this....

Well, I am very new to this so bear with me...lol. I can't believe that summer is almost over and time for school to start. It seems like times just flies these days and I don't really like that. The older you get the quicker it goes.

Today and tomorrow I have my two neices and my nephew. So, I have a full house of seven kids! Yep....am I crazy or what??? I am trying to ignore the mess, but it isn't working out very well for me so far...lol. I can't stand my house to be messy or for things to be out of "their place". But, I will just wait until they are gone before I try to clean.

I have another doctors appointment today with the neurologist so we will see how that goes.

Happy Summer! :)
